- Ramnathpuram police have arrested a Tirupur based Imam who was supplying ISIS T-Shirts to the Muslim youths in front of a Mosque before sending them to Thondi
- M.Abdul Rehman and his companion Rilwan ordered for T-Shirts and organized a photo scission, a special police team from the district visited the hosiery town of Tirupur and detained S.Faizur Rahman who procured the T-shirts and supplied them to Rilvan after printing a modified ISIS emblem on them
- S.Faizur Rahman is arrested under section 7(1) (a) of the criminal law amendment act and with section 120(b) of India Penal code
- S.Faizur Rahman dispatched T-Shirts to Chennai further which was sent to Thondi, Rahman’s father had destroyed 50 T-shirts by burning them and police seized 25 T-shirts and produced two of them in court
- Abdul Rahman’s passport has been seized; he used to travel to Bangkok, Hong Kong, Singapore and Sri Lanka on tourist visa in connection with his textiles, leather and electronic goods business
- Rahman had a strong connect with a Muslim dominated coastal town Devipattinam, this case same into light when one of the youth posted the picture on Facebook at the occasion of Ramzan
- The main accused portrayed that the T-Shirts was posted as a gratitude to release Indian nurses stranded in Iraq but post investigation revealed that the main accused were active supporters of the ISIS and allegedly trying to brainwash Muslim youths for the cause that the ISIS was fighting for
