Teachers to be Trained to Handle Leopard Situations

  • Teachers, in particular physical education teachers, will be given guidelines and a list of do’s and don’ts if a leopard is spotted close to the school.
  • This was decided after officials of the Forest and Education Departments met on Friday to chalk out ways to handle such incidents.
  • Schools will also be given guidance on infrastructure, protocol to be followed in case a leopard is sighted, as well as education to the children on the possibilities of co-existing with leopards.
