New studies have revealed that the near-endangered Dhole or the Asiatic wild dogs, now exist as trace populations across the country, and are found across 68% of the landscape area in the Western Ghats. 21 Pygmy Hog Nests Found in Manas National Park

Assam Forest Department, conducted a survey in Manas National Park to estimate the number of Pygmy Hogs (small and rare wild pigs), during which approximately 21 nests, spread across 3 different locations, were found.
