T-Bill is cleared by President Pranab

February 11, 2014 by AmbitionIAS Leave a Comment

  • The bill will be tabled in Rajya Sabha soon.
  • There is speculation that a Standing Committee could be set up to refer to this matter.
  • However, according to Mr.Azad – it’s not a constitutional requirement that the State assemblies passes the Bill, before the parliament can take action on it. When Jharkhand, Uttarakhand and Chattisgarh were bifurcated, there was no Standing Committee to which such bills were sent.

Exams Perspective:

  1. Vote-on-account
  2. Joint session
  3. Budget, presentation of the budget, budget estimates, Plan expenditure, Non-Plan expenditure.
