- 1 year old child was suffering from malnutrition and asked the National Human Rights Commission and the Delhi Police, Ashok Agarwal, member of the Economically Weaker Section Treatment Monitoring Committee of Delhi to intervene.
- This case was a suspected case of neglect and starvation and the fellow advocate met the family outside the court where the child was in deplorable physical health and grossly malnourished
- A letter stated that “it was evident that the girl child was deprived of their rights and the other male child who was 5 year old and the father looked healthier than the mother and the girl child”
- The father refused to take the girl child to a private hospital and he told at the most that he will take the child to the government hospital in the vicinity of their locality
- Looking at the girl child’s condition the advocate has appealed for help and speedy intervention
