Judges are not immune from charges of sexual harassment at workplace
- A Supreme Court appointed panel, while hearing a writ petition from a law intern who levelled allegations of sexual harassment against Justice Swatanter Kumar, Chairperson of National Green Tribunal, made the following observations :
- however high a judge maybe, they can’t be immune to sexual harassment at workplace charges, if & when such charge is proved
- if such charge is made against any retired SC or High Court judges manning judicial tribunals, they can’t be protected under ‘irremovability from office’ shield.
