- Emergency measures have been launched by international aid organizations to contain the deadly Ebola virus that has claimed more than 10 lives in Guinea and Liberia since January, with cases being reported in Mali and Sierra Leone.
- WHO announced emergency training for 70 people to track people across Guinean capital Conakry who have had close contact with Ebola patients. Special alert and response operation centers have also been initiated within the Guinean ministry of health.
