April 9, 2014 by KRS Leave a Comment

U.S. plans to allow spouse of H-1B visa holder to work

  • Obama Administration has come out with a new initiative to attract spouses of H-1B visa holders with technical skills (from science & technology categories) to work in USA. It would also enhance opportunities for outstanding professors and researchers.
  • The US economy would expect such talented foreign entrepreneurs and other high-skill immigrants to contribute substantially in creating jobs & enhance it’s innovative competitiveness.
  • Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has launched the Entrepreneur Pathways, an online resource centre that gives immigrant entrepreneurs an intuitive way to navigate opportunities to start & grow a business. This would streamline, eliminate inefficiency & increase transparency of existing immigration system.

Exams Perspective:

  1. Entrepreneur Pathways
  2. H-1B visa
  3. India USA Bilateral Relations
