- SIT submitted its first report to Supreme Court and a three judge bench expressed satisfaction on steps taken by the team bring back money stored in foreign countries
- The information was submitted to the court in a sealed cover Justice Dattu told senior counsel Anil Divan and the petitioner Ram Jethmalani that the report was confidential but some progress had been made
- As per the request made to the German authorities the letters will be handed over to the Additional Solicitor-General Neeraj Kishan Kaul who will take instructions and inform the same to the court on the next date of hearing
- The bench permitted Mr.Jethmalani to speak to the SIT team on the case and said they should proceed with the work assigned by the court and submit the reports by two months
- The members of the team are heads of a number of investigations and Justice M.B. Shah as chairman and former Supreme Court judge Arijit Pasayat as vice-chairman
- The center has disclosed the names of accused against who the investigation has been concluded but no evidence of tax evasion was found
- As per the bench the ASG is looking into the matter and posted it for further hearing
