Science Needs a Boost, Says C.N.R. Rao

• Bharat Ratna, C.N.R.Rao was falicitated by the University of Mysore
• In some years to come he sees South Korea and China to move ahead in the field of science compared to U.S and Japan
• He is asking the new government to support in the science field like how Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had made a proposal in Parliament in 1958  for the growth of Science
• Focus more to acquire knowledge and proficiency in their profession rather than money, says Mr.Rao
• Since the state is keen on science learning the rural areas should set up science learning centres in rural areas and encourage students
• Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed a positivity for learning science and he said “studying in English should learn that the medium of learning is not of paramount importance in early education.”
