“The best brains in the world were busy solving problems of the rich, as a result of which the problems of the poor remained unresolved to a considerable extent. There is need for developing indigenous development models to address domestic issues in view of the diverse socio-economic and cultural character of India. Technological developments had made the nation self-sufficient in food production but more needed to be done.
