“The people of Uchhangipur village in Jagalur taluk of Davangere district in Karnatake suffer from 2 types of disorders caused owing to consumption of fluoride: skeletal fluorosis & dental fluorosis. Those affected by skeletal fluorosis suffer from severe joint pains and those suffering from dental fluorosis develop disturbances of dental plaque. Some residents of the village say that at least two members in every family of the village are suffering from health problems.”
