- The first face of unearthing violations of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act by Bharatiya Janata Party & Congress was started by Delhi High Court
- The Election Commission has started the process and the High Court has ordered to take action within 6 months after identifying the “foreign contributions” accepted from Vedanta subsidiaries
- An order was based on PIL (Public Interest Litigation) by Association for Democratic Reforms, the High Court will not hesitate to take the matter further
- Government has earlier stated that the as an Indian citizen owned Vedanta, donations by the firm and its subsidiaries would not be as that by “foreign companies
