President’s Rule in Andhra Pradesh
- After the resignation of Kiran Kumar Reddy as CM of Andhra Pradesh, Union Cabinet has decided to impose President’s rule in the state.
- Assembly would be kept in suspended animation.
- The President’s rule could be inferred from the famous “Bommai Case” where SC ruled that, “situation of impasse” in the state could be a ground for imposition of President’s rule in the state.
