Parole Should be Deeply Monitored

  • Guidelines issued on parole procedure from Karnataka HC :

    • Within 24 hours a case should be filed if prisoner fails to return.
    • Register to be maintained on a daily basis by the police officials which should be submitted to High Court every quarter.
    • CMMs or CJMs should carry the register (maintained under the head ‘Prisoners Parole Register’) during inspections.
  • State HC has ordered action to arrest those 42 prisoners who are absconding on their release from parole.
