NSA’s MYSTIC Programme can Record 100% Telephonic Calls

NSA can record all phone calls of a country

 

• NSA has developed a MYSTIC surveillance programme in 2009 with the following features:
  • record 100% of foreign country’s telephone calls
  • ‘retrospective retrieval tool’, which can review conversations upto 30 days
  • it reached full capacity when used in the first target nation in 2011
  • initially, it recorded every single conversation nationwide
  • follows stack system, oldest makes way for newer phone calls.
