- North east states are in danger because of illegal migration from neighboring countries as per the Governor of Nagaland Padmanabha Balakrishna Acharya , he further opines that national integrity should be maintained and ensure that these States remain a part of the country
- Illegal migration is a concern especially from Bangladesh to Assam, since there are eight gateways towards the north east part of the country and they might be dangerous
- He opined that under the leadership of Mr.Modi with a philosophy of Hindutva it is a priority for the overall development of north eastern States
- Mr.Acharya a native of Udupi, said that people in other parts of the country had the onus to infuse the “we feeling” among people of the north east to make them remain in the mainstream of the country
- Incidents of attacks over the north east in some parts of the country is a matter of concern and while interaction with the students from north east in the city he asked them to cultivate friendship with local people
- Mr.Acharya further told the students should be friendly with Kannadiga classmates and take part in their family celebrations. All of you must have local guardians here
