Medical College for Puri Under Central Scheme

• Puri,  Odisha,  to have 5th medical college of the state under Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Surakshya Yojna in 2014.
• Other medical colleges to come up at Baripada, Balasore, Koraput and Bolangir, district hospitals also to be upgraded
• AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, inaugurated in February, total cost under the scheme for setting up each college is 189 crore, Centre’s share 75 % state’s share 25 per % Construction works likely to start from October this year.
