Iran-Pak-India Pipeline May Be Revived

  • A political deal between Iran and the other major powers over its nuclear issues are finalized, Iran’s stand in the global economy will revive and along with it the Iran-Pakistan-India pipeline project.
  • India is looking at increasing its hydrocarbons export to Pakistan, which has also responded in the affirmative.
  • According to sources, the gas would first be imported to the LNG terminal at Dahej and then to Jalandhar through an existing pipeline network. Jalandhar will also be connected through a new 103-km pipeline to be laid by GAIL (India) Ltd.
