- Family disputes has led to cause major trouble for the senior citizens
- Around 188 calls to the Elders Helpline (1090) this year pertaining to the family dispute, property issues and dealing with building owners, tenants or neighbors
- In association with the Bangalore Police the Nightingales Medical Trust operates the Elders Helpline
- Managing Trustee of Nightingales Medical Trust Radha K. Murthy said “We are trying to create awareness among the elderly citizens to be careful while handling property related issues. We also tell them that it is imperative that they remain economically independent.”
- ‘Concessions and other useful information for senior citizens’ book was launched at the event organised by the Elders Helpline 1090 to mark World Elder Abuse Awareness Day
