- Indian government has been criticised over the Israel Hamas conflict of being confused and directionless
- Prime Minister has clearly specified that India would be more even-handed towards Israel and the government is looking at change in foreign policy in West Asian context.
- With the growing relations of New Delhi and Tel Aviv India is clear and even before he formed the government when Modi spoke to Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu on the day of his victory.
- The issue was raised when the government denied slamming Israel for the ongoing conflict in its official statement while in the parliament Ms.Sushma swaraj tried to stop the talks since she knew about the change in the policy.
- Though the policy was changed it missed the notice and even in the Fortaleza Declaration of the BRICS India spoke about the old policy which was confusing whether the MEA statement and the government stand on Parliament debate was an exception
- The Ministry of External Affairs statement showed that it is anti-Israel and the same was incorporated by the UNHRC
- It was time for India to correct the statement at the U.N which ignored a couple of things though the government was for Israel
- Unlike the previous MEA the Modi’s relationship is different with the change in the bilateral relations with Israel
- Hamas definitely is a terror as no one should ignore killing of children and innocent civilians and New Delhi will not shy away from naming Hamas
