Indian Pollution Level Beat China

Greenpeace Denies IB Report
  • The average Indian was exposed to more particulate matter than the average Chinese citizen in 2015 according to a report.
  • Greenpeace analysed NASA’s satellite data of particulate matter from 2003 to 2015 in India and China. It found that the pollution levels in China peaked in 2011 and then started to gradually reduce.
  • India, however, saw a spike over the past decade, the last year being the worst on record.
