India Pips Italy, Germany to be No. 2 in Textile Race

India is now the world’s second largest exporter of textile, leaving behind both Italy and Germany in the race
India still has to catch up with China which leads the table, and exports textile nearly 7 times more than India
According to Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) India’s textiles exports were around $40 billion in 2013 against China’s $274 billion.
