- Key issues to be discusses in the ICC Panel Meeting involving players, match officials, law makers, scorers, statisticians and other stake holders:
- Use of 2 new balls from either end: This has been opposed by the Board of Cricket Control In India (BCCI) as it renders the country’s spin attack ineffective.
- Fielding restrictions for ODIs: Existing regulations allow 2 fielders outside the 30-yard circle in the first 10 overs, and 3 during the batting Powerplay. At other times, the number has been reduced to 4 from the earlier 5.
- BCCI feels that this puts tremendous pressure on bowlers and has asked for the return of the old rule.
