- As per the action plan for the Rs. 600 Crore allotted to the Hyderabad Karnataka Regional Development Board (HKRDB) to be submitted to the Governor:
- 70% of the funds will be spent on micro projects such as construction of roads and drains, and on health and social sectors.
- 16% on mega projects such as improving road, rail and air connectivity in the region.
- 10% on other works.
- 4% on administration.
- Funds also provided to extend the existing runway of the proposed Gulbarga airport from 2,500 m to 3,500 m, constructing terminal buildings, fire fighting unit and improving road connectivity to airport.
- Rs. 10 crore allotted to establishing a theme park on the land available with Gulbarga Development Authority as a popular destination and source of revenue.
- Funds to improve sports facilities and establishing a Hyderabad Karnataka Cricket Association to provide exposure to budding cricketers.
- The first instalment of Rs. 150 crore has been released by the govt. submission of utilization certificate will enable release of the 2nd instalment.
