Govt to Explore Pact with UK on Information Exchange on Criminals

  • Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju said India will explore the possibility of signing an agreement with the UK on exchanging information about criminals.
  • With 131 extradition requests from New Delhi pending with the United Kingdom, the Govt. will positively consider the draft.
  • Rijiju also flagged concerns over the Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) set up by the UK that might impede Indians travelling to the UK for travel and work.
