- Karnataka government has taken up a broad plan to preserve the historical monuments of Chalukya Dynasty to boost the tourism sector in Bagalkot District
- A separate Chalukya Development Authority is being formed to revamp these monuments Badami, Pattadakal and Aihole would be part of the project which would be preserved by setting up of authority
- Better road connectivity, building up a better infrastructure and basic facilities are the major steps taken in the project, this place has enormous potential in the tourism and the new initiative taken by the government will bring about a change
- The Deputy Commissioner will issue an official notice regarding setting up an authority, the matter has already been discussed in the higher authority and waiting for the government’ final nod
