- Settar calls for all measures including legal and diplomatic to stop auctioning of the ring, studded with a gem and with Ram inscribed in Nagari letters on it
- A Karnataka based group Tipu Sultan United Front has also sought steps to acquire the ring that Tipu Sultan wore at the time his death in a battle
