- Bogus ration cards will now be cancelled to ensure that all below the poverty line (BPL) families got foodgrains under the Anna Bhagya scheme.
- Criminal cases against those who don’t surrender such cards
- Subsidy has been raised from Rs.900 cr to 4,300 cr, upto 30kg a month will be given to each family
- Food and Civil Supplies Department would conduct Aahara Adalats in ration shop premises and listen to the grievances of ration cardholders
- 9 am to 8 30 pm shops will be open for the first 10 days of the month
- Minister for Information and Infrastructure R. Roshan Baig said the government had decided to extend health insurance scheme to journalists who have more than 15 years of experience. Journalists having more than 20 years of experience would get pension
