- BPL cards verification will enable officials to verify validity of cards and the aadhar adalat will be held in ration shops across the state
- Efforts would be made to eliminate bogus BPL ration cards during the adalats
- Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) number attached in the ration cards has proved successful nearly 60,000 beneficiaries have registered their EPIC number online
- Families who have obtained ration cards before 2010 have to get their cards renewed
- The department has decided to link all cards either with EPIC or Aadhaar in the next six months
- New applicants have to furnish their EPIC and Aadhaar numbers to receive their cards
- Bogus ration cards should be surrendered if not serious action will be taken against the families.
