- The state government has decided to conduct a fresh examination due to corruption in the selection of 2011 batch candidates for posts of gazette probationary Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) as per P.C.Hota committee recommendations
- The other recommendation made including the one on constituting interview board presided over by the KPSC Chairman and four advisers
- Retired members of the all-India services cadre and retired members of the Central Service Group A will be appointed in the advisory in order to ensure transparency in recruitment process
- 50% KPSC employees are being transferred to other departments on deputation as per the committee’s recommendation, strict control on access to UPSC premises should be implemented to KPSC as well
- The report further said that the advisers should have worked in a higher administrative grade and each candidate interview process should go on for at least 30 minutes
- Instead of calling 25 candidates a batch of 9 candidates should be interviewed so that the process can go smoothly
