Fewer Students are Getting Mid-Day Meal, Says Study

  • There is a decrease in mid day meals food supply to government aided schools from 94.83 in 2012-2013 to 88.60 in 2013-14
  • Mid day meals prepared outside the school premises also has dropped from 12.53 to 9.45
  • In comparison with all the states barring Uttar Pradesh, Manipur and Nagaland drop of the national average is mainly because of Uttar Pradesh
  • U.P, Punjab, Delhi, Goa and Rajasthan are the states that have added significant drop adding to the national average
