Elephants begin migration to Kabini Backwater regions
- As the summer set in, large number of elephants have begun migration to Bandipur and Nagarahole sides of the Kabini backwater in search of food and water.
- The water level is sufficient for elephants to drink and survive this year unlike the previous year when drought was witnessed and several animals have died.
- These elephants migrate to Kabini backwaters region when summer sets in and immigrate back to core forest regions when monsoon sets in.
