Doctors have a Vital Role in Justice Delivery, Says Judge

July 14, 2014 by Admin Leave a Comment

  • N. Kumar, judge of the High Court of Karnataka stated that Medical doctors have been an asset to society as they play a vital role in dispensation of justice by the district health and family welfare department and district legal services committee.
  • Apart from knowledge, judicial officers and advocates need assistance from experts and suggestions from medical experts in the legal field, particularly in criminal cases.
  • In some cases Judicial officers, depend on medical and forensic evidence alone that would sustain the judgment when witnesses turn hostile.
  • People working in medical field too should have knowledge about the legal system to help in dispensation of justice.False or wrong information would jeopardise the justice delivery process.
