Centre Agrees To Kerala Governments Demand On Kasturirangan Report

  • Union Government has agreed to exclude farm lands and Habitations from ecologically sensitive area purview.
  • The exclusion results in reduction of ecologically sensitive area by 3000 sq km.
  • Activities like mining, pollution, quarrying, and construction of commercial entities within ESA has been banned by the Government.
