Atmospheric Satellites To Replace Orbital Satellites For Internet Connectivity

  • High flying drones capable of staying up to 4 years at a time in the atmosphere can be used to connect internet in a large area instead of using orbital satellites, which would reduce costs significantly.
  • The company named Titan Aerospace which manufactures these kinds of drones named it as “atmostat”.
  • Facebook as a part of its Internet.Org initiative wants to acquire the company to cater to the internet needs of developing nations.
