- 12 years old daughter was missing and for the past 6 months parents are homeless and are sheltered at an NGO, Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA).
- Wandering around with her photo in Delhi clueless about her the couple has narrated the issue to a publication
- The villagers told about the girl being kidnapped and was brought to Delhi they went in serch of her but no help and solace
- Now, six months later, the couple are yet to get back their child and have no money left even to feed themselves and when they check in the agencies they are thrown out of the place
- Similar issues of kidnapping have come to light and the Delhi Police and have been putting pressure on the placement agencies to find the girls to find out if they are alive or dead
- Assam has become a hub for child trafficking and in the past three years alone, over 77 Assamese children who were trafficked have been rescued after BBA lodged complaints.
