- Rare artefacts could be between third centaury BCE and fifteenth century CE are found in Tiruchi district, Tamil Nadu
- The artefacts include deep shallow terracotta bowls and plates, thin black and red ware beads made out of conch shells, and so on and five potsherds with Tamil Brahmi scripts
- 1800 years old facts are found and further the archaeological mound has cultural deposits to a depth of 6.5 metres
- T. Satyamurthy, former Superintending Archaeologist, Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) also noted flood action from Cauvery river in second and seventh centuries CE respectively
- Specialist in Tamil Brahmni scripts Mr.Krishnamurthy, Editor Dinamalar told that the letters relate to the third century BCE
- Sri Lalithalayam Trust and who belongs to Kattuputhur granite sculptures of Buddha, Garuda, Vishnu and Nandi etc and informed Rural Education and Conservation of Heritage (REACH) Foundation
- ASI. K.K. Ramamurthy, former Superintending Archaeologist, Thrissur Circle, ASI, was the excavation director permitted for evacuating the site
