- National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) which is situated in Hyderabad analyzed the images.
- At NRSC:
- Terra/Aqua Modis thermal data technique was used to identify active fire, and
- To determine the degree of burnt region Advanced Wide Field Sensor was used.
- ISRO has a geo-portal ‘Bhuvan’ where all the pictures have been uploaded.
