10 killed as Shells Strike U.N. Shelter in Gaza

  • Isreal began pulling some troops from Gaza in an accepted move to an unilateral withdrawal, U.N expressed fury after shell hit another school
  • This happened in Southern city of Rafah and killed 10 people and more than 3000 people are homeless and this is a third incident within 10 days
  • The U.N secretary called this a criminal act and asked to stop this madness, strike on Palestinian factions gathered for truce talks with Egypt in Cairo and world powers voiced increasingly urgent calls for the warring sides to lay down their weapons
  • Rescuers were trying to evacuate the people in any way possible while adults moving pools of blood and children clinging on to them
  • Spokesman for the U.N agency for Palestinians refugees (UNRWA) had sheltered thousands of internally displaced people (IDPs) who were forced to move out of their house by the ongoing violence in Gaza
  • According to medics 1766 Palestinians are killed and 9320 wounded in 27 days and is a shock globally with British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond demanding an unconditional cease fire, stop the killing immediately as many are disturbed as civilians loss of life
  • Globally attempts have been taken to put an end of this fight between Israel and Hamas but in vain and the efforts are on
  • China’s top diplomats have asked both the sides to stop their fire immediately
  • Gaza’s medical services have reached the threshold where hospitals are filled number of casualties
  • Najjar a main hospital was forced to close after a recent strike and two clinics only were opened with medics were short of place to store the pile of bodies correspondents witnessed four small children were packed into an ice cream freezer
  • Many news papers reported cabinet ministers have decided not to seek further negociation cease fire agreement with Hamas and ending the military operation unilaterally
  • Army confirmed it had started withdrawing some troops from Gaza Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lerner told they were removing some forces and troops were extremely close to complete a mission to destroy network on attack tunnel
